National Center for Forest Therapy, Gimcheon

📍 1237-89 Sudo-gil, Jeungsan-myeon, Gimcheon-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do

Located on the slopes of Mount Sudo at an elevation of 800 meters in Jeungsan-myeon, Gimcheon City, the Gimcheon National Healing Forest blends harmoniously with the surrounding valleys, including the scenic Daegacheon Stream and Muhul Gugok. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views throughout all four seasons—spring, summer, fall, and winter—and the forest is open not only to families but also to all citizens seeking physical and mental healing. In particular, it features a vast 7-hectare birch forest and a beautifully landscaped forest of 100-year-old Korean pine trees, offering stunning panoramic views; its scenery is so breathtaking that it has been designated as one of the “Eight Scenic Views of Gimcheon.” Designated as one of South Korea’s Top 100 Premium Forests (Danji-bong Forest) and as one of Gimcheon City’s Beautiful Forest Trails, the park offers a variety of forest therapy programs designed to promote physical and mental well-being by harnessing the healing elements of the forest, such as fragrance, scenery, and negative ions.
