Samcheok Hwalgi Healing Forest

📍 651-230 Jungyeong-gil, Miro-myeon, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do

The Samcheok Hwalgi Healing Forest is a multifunctional forest recreation and healing facility located deep within the woods of Hwalgi-ri, Miro-myeon, Samcheok City. It was created to provide visitors with rest and rejuvenation amidst lush natural surroundings. The site features a visitor center, a healing center, treehouses, a forest experience area, a water healing area, and healing forest trails. While preserving the forest’s natural state as much as possible, it is equipped with only the bare minimum of amenities for visitors. A forest densely packed with majestic old-growth trees, a forest ablaze with red autumn foliage, a forest where various tree species harmoniously coexist, a birch forest notable for its white bark, oak groves, and the “Samcheok Millennium Forest”—home to the “Beautiful Lady Pine” and the “Great King Pine” located near Jun-gyeong’s Tomb—all offer beautiful and profound forest landscapes that heal visitors’ bodies and minds.
