BEAUTRIP.

Terms of Service

Operator
ใˆœ์ผ€์ดํ”Œ๋žซํผ
Effective
17 August 2026

These Terms govern the use of BEAUTRIP (the "Platform"), operated by ใˆœ์ผ€์ดํ”Œ๋žซํผ (the "Company"), and set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Company and its users. The Platform is intended primarily for international visitors to Korea. The Company acts as an online marketplace intermediary connecting users with clinics, partner businesses and Local Friends. Pharmacy products, however, are sold directly by the Company.

Article 1 Purpose

  1. These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the BEAUTRIP Platform provided by ใˆœ์ผ€์ดํ”Œ๋žซํผ, and the rights, obligations and responsibilities between the Company and its users.
  2. Matters not specified in these Terms are governed by the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Framework Act on Consumers, and other applicable Korean laws and commercial practice.

Article 2 Definitions

  1. "Platform" means the BEAUTRIP website operated by the Company and any connected applications.
  2. "User" means any member or non-member (guest) who accesses the Platform and uses the services under these Terms.
  3. "Member" means a person who has signed up with a social account or email and uses the services on a continuing basis.
  4. "Guest" means a user who books or orders with an email address only, without signing up.
  5. "Local Friend" means a person who provides interpretation and accompaniment support to users through the Platform. This is distinct from a licensed tourist guide under the Tourism Promotion Act and is not a paid tour guide service.
  6. "Partner" means a business that has registered products or services on the Platform, such as a clinic, oriental medicine clinic, health screening centre, spa, restaurant or cultural facility.
  7. "Agency" means a business that has contracted with the Company to resell the Platform's package products to its own customers.
  8. "Pharmacy products" means health functional foods and cosmetics sold directly by the Company on the Platform.

Article 3 Posting and Amendment of the Terms

  1. The Company posts these Terms at the bottom of the Platform and on the Terms of Service page so that users may review them at any time.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  3. Where the Terms are amended, the effective date and the reason for the amendment are announced on the Platform at least 7 days in advance. Where an amendment is unfavourable to users, it is announced at least 30 days in advance and members are notified individually by email.
  4. If a user does not express refusal before the effective date of the amended Terms, the user is deemed to have accepted them. A user who does not accept the amendment may terminate the service agreement.
  5. Bookings and orders already concluded remain governed by the Terms in force at the time of the contract.

Article 4 Provision of Services

  1. The Company provides the following services: partner information and booking intermediation, sale of package products, connection with Local Friends, sale and subscription delivery of pharmacy products, DNA analysis information, the Travel Assistant (translation, phrase cards, emergency contacts), and other services determined by the Company.
  2. Services are provided 24 hours a day, all year round, in principle. Services may be suspended temporarily for system maintenance, equipment replacement, communication failure, natural disaster or similar reasons.
  3. The Company may change the content of the services and will announce the change and its reason in advance. Urgent or minor changes may be announced afterwards.
  4. Some services depend on third-party systems (payment, maps, translation, telecommunications). Where such systems fail, the Company will take reasonable steps to restore service.

Article 5 Membership and Guest Use

  1. Users may sign up using a social account (Google, Apple, Facebook and similar) or an email address, following the procedure set by the Company.
  2. The Company does not require Korean mobile phone identity verification. Users without a Korean phone number can use all services. A phone number is optional and is accepted in international format.
  3. Users may book and order with an email address only, without signing up (guest use). In that case, booking confirmations and QR codes are sent to the email address provided.
  4. The Company may refuse registration or subsequently terminate the service agreement where a user has misappropriated another person's identity, entered false information, or clearly intends to breach applicable law.
  5. Users must update their registered information without delay when it changes. The user bears any disadvantage arising from a failure to do so.

Article 6 Status and Scope of Liability as an Intermediary

  1. With respect to products and services registered by partners such as clinics, oriental medicine clinics, health screening centres, spas, restaurants and cultural facilities, the Company is an online marketplace intermediary and is not the seller.
  2. Responsibility for the content, quality, price, performance, defects, safety and legal compliance of products and services registered by a partner lies with that partner. The Company does not guarantee a partner's performance.
  3. The Company also acts as an intermediary in respect of interpretation and accompaniment support provided by Local Friends.
  4. However, pharmacy products (health functional foods and cosmetics) are sold directly by the Company, and the Company is responsible for defects, delivery and refunds relating to those products. In that case the Company acts as a seller, not as an intermediary.
  5. The Company indicates on each screen whether a given transaction is intermediated or a direct sale. Partner detail screens display an intermediary notice; pharmacy product screens display a direct sale notice.
  6. As an intermediary, where a dispute arises between a user and a partner, the Company will make reasonable efforts to establish the facts and assist in reaching an amicable resolution.

Article 7 Payment and Currency

  1. All products are charged in Korean Won (KRW).
  2. Foreign currency amounts shown on the Platform are for reference only. The amount actually charged may differ according to the exchange rate applied by the card issuer or payment provider at the time of payment. The Company is not responsible for differences arising from exchange rates.
  3. Payment methods are offered according to the user's language: PayPal and international cards for English, WeChat Pay and Alipay for Chinese, and Eximbay Global and Apple Pay for Japanese and other languages.
  4. Any foreign transaction fee charged by the card issuer or payment provider is borne by the user.
  5. The Company does not store payment credentials directly; payments are processed through the systems of payment service providers.

Article 8 Cancellation and Refunds

  1. [General] When a cancellation is requested, the Company may first propose a change of date. For medical appointments, rescheduling is often better for both the user and the partner than cancelling. If the user does not wish to reschedule, the cancellation proceeds immediately.
  2. [General] Refunds are issued only to the original payment method and take 7โ€“15 business days after approval. The exact period depends on the card issuer or payment provider.
  3. [General] Force majeure events such as natural disasters, flight cancellations and illness are assessed individually, separately from the thresholds below. Supporting documents may be requested.
  4. [General] Where a service is not provided due to the fault of the Company or a partner โ€” for example, no Local Friend is assigned, or a partner cancels โ€” a full refund is given regardless of when the cancellation occurs.
  5. [Packages] 100% refund for cancellation 7 or more days before the start date; 50% refund between 3 and 7 days before; no refund within 3 days. Packages reserve clinic appointment slots and Local Friend schedules in advance, so late cancellations cannot be reallocated.
  6. [Clinic bookings] 100% refund for cancellation 24 or more hours before the appointment; no refund within 24 hours. Clinics impose no-show penalties.
  7. [Local Friend] 100% refund for cancellation 48 or more hours before the service; 50% refund between 24 and 48 hours before; no refund within 24 hours or for a no-show.
  8. [Local Friend] Where an amount is not refunded under the preceding paragraph (a cancellation charge), the Company pays 50% of that amount to the Local Friend as compensation. This covers the loss of a Local Friend who has already reserved the time. No additional amount is charged to the user.
  9. [DNA analysis] A full refund is available before the cheek swab is taken. Once the swab has been taken, no refund is available, because laboratory costs have been incurred. This is stated separately on the screen immediately before collection, and collection proceeds only after the user confirms.
  10. [Pharmacy products] Under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, a full refund is given where an unopened product is returned within 7 days of delivery. Products that have been opened or used cannot be refunded, as their value has been impaired.
  11. [Pharmacy products] For returns due to a change of mind, the user bears the return shipping cost. For internationally shipped products, the return shipping cost may exceed the value of the product, and that cost is borne by the user. Where the product is defective or incorrectly shipped, the Company bears the cost.
  12. [Subscription delivery] Cancelling 3 or more days before the next dispatch date cancels the next delivery. Deliveries already dispatched are governed by the pharmacy product provisions above.
  13. Cancellation and refund requests may be submitted through My Page or the customer centre.

Article 9 Local Friend Service

  1. The Local Friend service is an interpretation and accompaniment support service. It is not the tour guide service provided by a licensed tourist guide under the Tourism Promotion Act. Local Friends do not provide commentary on tourist sites or tour guiding as a business.
  2. Local Friends are not employees of the Company. They are independent individuals connected with users through the Platform.
  3. A foreign national wishing to work as a Local Friend must hold work authorisation appropriate to their visa status. The Company verifies this at registration; a Local Friend who works without authorisation is responsible for doing so.
  4. The Local Friend service fee includes a platform commission of 15%; the remainder is paid to the Local Friend.
  5. Where a cancellation charge arises from a user cancellation, 50% of that charge is paid to the Local Friend as compensation under Article 8(8).
  6. Contact between the user and the Local Friend is made through a privacy relay number. Neither party's phone number is disclosed.
  7. Users may not ask a Local Friend to perform anything outside interpretation and accompaniment, such as medical procedures, lending money, or personal relationships.

Article 10 Scope of Pharmacist Consultation

  1. Pharmacist consultation on the Platform is limited to how to take health functional foods, the order and combination of cosmetics, guidance on over-the-counter medicines, and interpretation of DNA analysis results from a wellness perspective.
  2. Pharmacist consultation does not include diagnosis of disease, decisions on treatment, prescription of prescription-only medicines, or medical assessment of test results. Under the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, pharmacists may not perform these acts.
  3. Where diagnosis or treatment of a disease is required, please consult a physician at a medical institution. Pharmacist consultation does not replace medical care.
  4. A notice to this effect is displayed before a consultation is connected, and a consultation is connected only where the user has agreed. The time of agreement is recorded.
  5. Pharmacist consultations operate on weekdays from 10:00 to 19:00 (Korea time). Outside these hours, only bookings are accepted.
  6. The Company accepts no medical liability for decisions made by users on the basis of a consultation, or for their outcomes.

Article 11 DNA Analysis Service

  1. The DNA analysis described on the Platform is genetic analysis for wellness and beauty purposes and is not intended for the diagnosis or treatment of disease.
  2. Under the Bioethics and Safety Act, direct-to-consumer genetic testing may not be carried out for the purpose of diagnosing disease.
  3. Results are reference information from a beauty and self-care perspective โ€” skin aging, pigmentation, moisture barrier, nutrient metabolism and similar markers. They are not a medical opinion or diagnosis.
  4. Analysis is performed by a certified laboratory in Korea, and results are normally available within 2โ€“3 days.
  5. Once the cheek swab has been taken, no refund is available, because laboratory costs have been incurred. This is stated separately on the screen immediately before collection, and collection proceeds only after the user confirms.
  6. Where interpretation of the results is required, pharmacist consultation is available within the scope set out in Article 10.

Article 12 Medicines

  1. Under the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, over-the-counter and prescription medicines may not be sold online. The Platform does not offer online payment, cart, or subscription delivery for medicines.
  2. Medicines are not eligible for international shipping. Medicines cannot be sent abroad through the Platform.
  3. The Platform may list over-the-counter and prescription medicines for information purposes. In that case, the only purchase routes offered are guidance to visit a pharmacy or to obtain a prescription from a medical institution.
  4. Prescription medicines may be dispensed and purchased only at a pharmacy, on a physician's prescription.
  5. Products eligible for online sale and international shipping are limited to health functional foods and cosmetics.
  6. Where a user personally takes medicines out of Korea, it is the user's responsibility to check the import rules of the destination country.

Article 13 Travel Assistant

  1. The Travel Assistant provides situational phrase cards, display of booking details, translation, requests for interpretation support, and emergency contact information.
  2. Phrase cards and emergency contacts are provided free of charge and without limit, and work without an internet connection.
  3. The accuracy of translation results is not guaranteed. Machine translation can be inaccurate for medical and cosmetic terminology; please do not rely on translation alone for important decisions.
  4. Voice data and speech recognition text are not stored. They are discarded immediately after translation, and only the duration of use in seconds is recorded for billing. Calls are not recorded.
  5. Location data is collected only at the moment interpretation support is requested; there is no continuous tracking. When a request ends, the coordinates are deleted and only district-level information is retained for statistics.
  6. The emergency screen can be used without signing in.
  7. Voice translation is free for 30 minutes per month; beyond that it is KRW 5,000 per hour. Users with a package booking use it free of charge.

Article 14 Obligations of Users

  1. Users must provide accurate information when booking and ordering. The user bears any disadvantage arising from inaccurate information.
  2. Users must disclose in advance any matter that may affect a procedure or consultation, such as allergies, medicines currently taken, or underlying conditions.
  3. Users must not misappropriate another person's identity or use a payment method fraudulently.
  4. Users must not copy, distribute or crawl information on the Platform without permission, or use it for commercial purposes.
  5. Users must not engage in abusive conduct towards partners or Local Friends, including verbal abuse, sexual harassment or discriminatory remarks.
  6. Users must comply with applicable law, these Terms, the usage guidance, and matters announced by the Platform.

Article 15 Posts and Reviews

  1. Copyright in reviews and posts written by users belongs to the author.
  2. Users grant the Company the right to display, reproduce and exhibit their posts for the operation, promotion and improvement of the Platform. The Company credits the author when using a post.
  3. Reviews may be written only by users who have actually used the service.
  4. The Company may delete or restrict the display of the following posts without prior notice: false statements, content defaming another person, content containing personal data, content constituting medical advertising prohibited under the Medical Service Act, commercial advertising, and content infringing copyright.
  5. Reviews concerning medical procedures may be read as guaranteeing treatment outcomes under the Medical Service Act. The Company may therefore edit such expressions or restrict their display.

Article 16 Restriction of Service Use

  1. Where a user breaches these Terms or interferes with the normal operation of the services, the Company may restrict the use of services after giving notice. In urgent cases, notice may be given afterwards.
  2. Use may be suspended immediately in the following cases: fraudulent use of a payment method, misappropriation of another person's identity, repeated false bookings or no-shows, verbal abuse or sexual harassment towards partners or Local Friends, and mass access using automated tools.
  3. A user who objects to a restriction may make representations through the customer centre, and the Company will lift the restriction where those representations are well founded.

Article 17 Disclaimer

  1. The Company is released from liability where it cannot provide services due to force majeure, including natural disasters, war, epidemics, flight cancellations or measures taken by public authorities. In such cases refunds are assessed individually under Article 8(3).
  2. Under Article 6, the Company is not responsible for the performance of products and services registered by partners. This does not apply to pharmacy products.
  3. The Company is not responsible for decisions made by users on the basis of information obtained through the services โ€” translation results, partner information, DNA reference information and similar โ€” or for their outcomes.
  4. The Company has no obligation to intervene in disputes between users, or between a user and a third party, and is not liable for damages arising from them.
  5. The disclaimers in this Article do not apply where the Company has acted with intent or gross negligence.

Article 18 Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

  1. The Company operates a customer centre to handle user complaints and feedback.
  2. Where a dispute arises between the Company and a user, the parties will seek to resolve it by mutual agreement.
  3. Where agreement cannot be reached, the user may apply for mediation to the Korea Consumer Agency or the Electronic Commerce Mediation Committee.
  4. These Terms and the relationship between the Company and its users are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  5. Litigation concerning disputes arising from use of the services is subject to the Suwon District Court as the court of first instance. Where the user's address or residence is clearly established, proceedings may instead be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
