National Center for Forest Therapy, GimcheonLocated on the slopes of Mount Sudo at an elevation of 800 meters in Jeungsan-myeon, Gimcheon City, the Gimcheon National Healing Forest blends harmoniously with the surrounding valleys, including the scenic Daegacheon Stream and Muhul Gugok. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views throughout all four seasons—spring, summer, fall, and winter—and the forest is open not only to families but also to all citizens seeking physical and mental healing. In particular, it features a vast 7-hectare birch forest and a beautifully landscaped forest of 100-year-old Korean pine trees, offering stunning panoramic views; its scenery is so breathtaking that it has been designated as one of the “Eight Scenic Views of Gimcheon.” Designated as one of South Korea’s Top 100 Premium Forests (Danji-bong Forest) and as one of Gimcheon City’s Beautiful Forest Trails, the park offers a variety of forest therapy programs designed to promote physical and mental well-being by harnessing the healing elements of the forest, such as fragrance, scenery, and negative ions.ⓒ한국관광공사

Sobaeksan National Park Nature CenterThe Sobaeksan Ecological Exploration Center is an institution specializing in ecological experiences and environmental education located within Sobaeksan National Park. It offers a variety of programs based on the outstanding natural ecosystems of the Sobaeksan region. Programs include hiking in Sobaeksan and ginseng experiences for physical health; forest meditation experiences for mental health; and wellness programs centered on exploring Buddhist cultural World Heritage sites for social well-being. In addition, the center offers short-term seasonal ecotourism programs, environmental education for future generations, cooking classes featuring local specialties, leading the way in ecological welfare services. Additionally, the center is equipped with facilities such as auditoriums, classrooms, and a dining hall for education, training, and conferences, and is available for use by both individuals and groups. Nearby tourist attractions include the Fox Ecological Observation Center, where visitors can observe foxes—a Class 1 endangered wild animal—as well as historical and cultural sites such as Buseoksa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Sosu Seowon Confucian Academy.ⓒ한국관광공사
